What is Fucoidan ?

Fucoidan’ is a type of water-soluble dietary fiber with a unique slippery component found only in brown algae such as kelp, seaweed (mekabu) and mozuku among seaweeds. Chemically, it is a high-molecular polysaccharide that mainly takes the course after sulfation. In addition to fucose, galactose, mannose, xylose, and uronic acid are combined.
